Seth's Hobby Thermal Desk Printer is a personal hobby project that lets you send a text message (SMS) to a designated phone number. Your message is then printed on a Raspberry Pi-connected thermal printer. This is a non-commercial project operated by an individual for personal and educational purposes.
By sending a text message to our number, you agree to the following:
• You consent to receive one (1) automated SMS reply per message you send, confirming your message was received.
• Message frequency: 1 message per interaction (reply only).
• Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
• To opt out: Text STOP to cancel and stop receiving messages at any time.
• For help: Text HELP or visit this website for support.
Our SMS service is provided through Twilio. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
By voluntarily sending an SMS to our phone number, you are providing your express consent to receive a reply message from our Service. You are opting in to this communication by initiating contact. You may revoke consent at any time by texting STOP.
When using this Service, you agree not to send messages that contain hateful, threatening, or harassing content, or content that is illegal, obscene, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to block any phone number that sends abusive or inappropriate content.
Messages you send will be physically printed on a thermal printer that may be visible to others in the vicinity of the printer. Please do not send sensitive personal information such as passwords, financial information, or other private data. You are solely responsible for the content of messages you send.
This Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. As a hobby project, we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, that messages will always be printed successfully, or that reply messages will be delivered without delay. We are not responsible for any costs incurred from sending SMS messages to our number.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HobbyTesting and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Service. This includes, but is not limited to, any charges from your mobile carrier for sending or receiving SMS messages.
Your use of this Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
